Our Longest Ever Project Reaches It’s Conclusion

Nynas booklet being taken out of sleeve

In late 2010, we were commissioned to provide a creative design solution for a ‘toolkit’ focused on the safe delivery of bitumen for one of our international clients Nynas AB.

Comprising of five printed items – 63 leaf booklet, a concertina style pocket guide, posters and technical information cards – all brought together within an outer wallet, the toolkit is finished off with a DVD, a 21 minute film also created by us at Hesketh Design.

20 months on, the printed project is now being distributed across Europe in 11 different languages. So far feedback from Nynas has been extremely positive.

We’ve updated our systems!

Our new iMacs

One of 2 new iMacs in the studio

Well we’ve finally done it. Taken the plunge. After much deliberation and research we have installed new iMacs to replace our ageing G5s and in the process have put in new systems including Apple’s Time capsule, which supplements our cloud-based back up. We were unsure about going wireless but having made the decision in favour of this have found it works really well for us. Even our new Epson inkjet printer, which we bought to replace the one that was beginning to cause problems, works well on the wireless network.

For all you techies, the iMacs are 27” glossy screen with 3.4 Intel core i7 processors so they can easily handle our large files. We’ve had to update some of our software as the new Macs run on OS X 10.7.3 Leopard.

At some point this year we will upgrade Adobe CS4 to the about-to-be-released CS6 to keep us abreast of the new features and to enable us to offer our clients the best possible service we can.
